Summer term 2021

Baylins Ballet Barn in it's unique quiet rural setting, and with the high beamed ceiling is perfect for this situation.

Classes will run for a 10 week term, and students will be contacted individually.

There are two Grade 4 classes, two Grade 5 classes, two Grade 6 classes, two Grade 7 classes and two Grade 8 classes! There will also be all the vocational levels.

My daughter Anna Trevien, is a qualified Royal Ballet School teacher.  Anna is the Senior Choreologist at The Royal Ballet. She has travelled extensively staging ballets including La Sylphide, which will give the students a deep insight into the style for the Grade 7 classes.

Congratulations To Emily Cozens who has won first prize for the NYB 16+ choreography competition judged by Sir Mathew Bourne and Etta Murfitt.

Sam Pitman and Grace Mary Field started full time training at Central in 2020. Sofia Morton is also in full-time training at The Place.

- Ellie Hennequin has started her second season dancing as a professional with Teatrul de Balet Sibiu in Romania. During covid she was lucky to be able to return to the UK and continue training at Baylins Ballet Barn. She then rejoined her company in Romania.

- Laurence Elliott is doing extremely well at the Polish National Ballet in Warsaw, and was cast in many creations including Chopin's Concerto in F minor. He introduced the company on World Ballet Day in October 2019 and interviewed his director. He has stayed in Poland but dancing at BBB during the summer break. He has recently performed Romeo & Juliet and is rehearsing Mayerling.

Holly Williams has completed her full time training at Bird College and ready to become a professional dancer.

Lucy Malin trained at Ballet West for three years, gaining much experience in performing the classics. She is now training for an RAD teaching qualification.

Zara Mclellan was having a brilliant start at Arts Ed London, getting top marks and being chosen for exciting performance opportunities, till Covid 19 appeared. She is working at the Nightingale Hospital.

What is clear to me, is that your ballet training is developing your resilience, determination and character. I am very proud of you. Don't give up!!
